New Public Relations Chair Joins the District Team

Ginger Taylor McDonaldGinger Taylor McDonald, is the owner of GTM Marketing, a marketing consulting firm located in Los Gatos, California. She is the past President of the Los Gatos Morning Rotary Club has been appointed to lead the District Public Relations effort.

Ginger brings more than 35 years of corporate/marketing communications to the position. Her entrance into the field of marketing began in the transportation industry, when she became the marketing statistician for the REA Express. In the late '70s Ginger transferred her skills and joined the technology and computer industry. She's led major corporate public relations efforts in branding and positioning global technology companies headquartered in Silicon Valley.

Her community work includes:

Board Member of the YWCA of Silicon Valley;
Chair of the 1998 Professional Women's Luncheon;
Board Member Silicon Valley Habitat for Humanity;
Chair Œ03-¹04 and a founder of Seasons of Life, a Women¹s Health Conference;
Los Gatos Plein Air Art Fest;
Board member SHIFT Coalition, El Cajon Project;
Past officer of Soroptimist.

Ginger is married to John W. McDonald, a retired San Jose attorney. They live in Los Gatos, and share a family of 6 children, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Ginger is a native of Mexico City, Mexico.

This Publicity section provides an assortment of materials designed to inform the community about Rotary.

Currently provided are 2 videos entitled "I'd Like To Know" and "Committed People Changing Lives". These videos were produced for broadcast on Community Access Television and to orient new Rotarians.

Also included is a PowerPoint presentation entitled "Rotary Diversity".
